Overview

On behalf of our client, a beautiful 5-star hotel in MALTA, we are seeking to recruit a CHEF DE PARTIE.

As chef de partie, you oversee a section of the kitchen. You get help from demi-chef de partie and commis chefs, in the preparation of menu items to be ready on time. It is a very important role in the kitchen.

Duties and responsibilities:

Prepare menus in collaboration with colleagues of the section.

Ensures adequate supplies at the section.

Follow the guidance of the chef or sous chef and have input in new ways of presentation of dishes.

Put effort in optimising the cooking process with attention to speed and quality.

Enforce strict health and hygiene standards.

Help to maintain a climate of smooth and friendly cooperation.

Might cover the operation in the absence of the shift leader.

Perform duties as instructed by superior in line with this position. 

Requirements:
  • Previous experience at a similar role
  • Good English
  • EU citizenship or EU work permit
We offer:

Salary:

  • €17,000 p.a. + Statutory Bonus of approx €500 p.a. pro rata which will be paid fortnightly in arrears
    Deductions will be Tax and National Insurance

Working Days:

  • 5 days (Mon-Sun) / 40 hour week according to roster

Employment Period:

  • May to the end of October (6 months)
