On behalf of our client, a beautiful 5-star hotel in MALTA, we are seeking to recruit a CHEF TOURNANT.
The Chef Tournant works beneath the head chef and the sous chef. He / she oversees the operation of the kitchen which includes supervising the kitchen staff to make sure duties are performed appropriately. This position requires a variety of culinary skills. Manages the hot section in the kitchen.
Duties and responsibilities:
Possess good leadership skills.
Directs, coordinates and delegates responsibilities to kitchen staff to ensure goals and objectives of the kitchen are met on a daily basis.
Leads the hot items section.
Communicates to the chef when there is an issue.
Maintains a safe and clean environment.
Adheres to health and hygiene regulations and makes sure the kitchen staff do the same.
Duties are not limited only to the above.
